Hospital Stay
Patients are admitted into hospital for an overnight stay and are usually fit to travel back home (if VIC/NSW) the next afternoon following surgery.
If you are travelling from WA, SA, QLD or NT you will be required to stay in Hobart or Melbourne for an additional 1-2 days following surgery.

Post Operative Appointment

Patients are seen by the physiotherapist in hospital prior to discharge and are given specific exercises to follow for the first 2 weeks post surgery.

Patients will need to arrange an appointment with their regular physiotherapist two weeks post surgery.

Details of patients regular physiotherapist will need to be provided prior to surgery.

Overseas Travel
For patients undergoing hip arthroscopy, depending on recovery, overseas travel is not recommended earlier than 6-8 weeks following surgery.
